The Relationship between Work-Related Stress and Burnout among Lecturers in UiTM, Malaysia

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between work-related stress and burnout among lecturers at Faculty Sports Science Recreation throughout nation. A total 89 respondents (41=male 48=female) were involved in study. self-administered questionnaire distributed respective sample by utilizing a simple random sampling technique. All data extracted using Statistical Package for Social (SPSS) version 20. obtained then analysed multiple statistics namely descriptive inferential achieve research objectives respectively. Descriptive used first second objectives, while statistics, one-way ANOVA third objective. This analysis chosen differences on aspect FSR campuses including Arau, Jengka, Samarahan, Shah Alam Seremban. fourth objective lecturers’ burnout. Therefore, Spearman Correlation Coefficient utilized. Work-Related Stress Questionnaire (WRSQ) assess respondent’s stress, whereas Maslach Burnout Inventory - Educator Survey (MBI-ES) utilized results stated that highest mean ‘Role’ lowest ‘Discrimination’. For burnout, ‘Emotional Exhaustion’ followed ‘Personal Accomplishment’ last is ‘Depersonalization’. examining five difference show there are no significant differences. Finally, result shows weak could assist university strategies maximize level productivity UiTM also, contributing staff happiness index.
